GlassWALL has been designed and built to protect any communication stream that can be threatened by malware or exploits. Its uniquely small footprint and low processing overhead enables it to be implemented either at manufacture or as an after market product.
GlassWALL Solutions Limited will partner with major original equipment manufacturers to embed GlassWALL and ThreatCENSOR directly within a communication stream.
The three principle areas will be:
Mobile: with the growth of smart phones, common operating systems and 'always on' connectivity, the mobile platform is predicted to be the next battleground with the virus writers. Due to its small footprint, economic use of system resources and with no requirement to update signatures, GlassWALL is ideally suited to being embedded in the mobile handset.
Network layer: today’s threats are being delivered across multiple attack vectors in the network. As such protection needs to be implemented at multiple layers of the network. Normally this involves bundling more than one security solution which can cause maintenance or integration issues. GlassWALL can be inserted into any network communication stream within a network appliance, intrusion detection devices or at the end point on a network card and provides a single solution across all attack vectors.
Application layer: due to its flexibility and ability to manage threats hidden within commonly transmitted files or ‘passive data’ GlassWALL is ideally suited to be implemented within an application layer device. It provides real time protection in devices such as email appliances and web proxy servers. ThreatCENSOR provides a complete management capability that allows an administrator to implement corporate, department or user level policies.
