ThreatCENSOR is a complimentary product that works in conjunction with GlassWALL to provide true 'zero day' protection from threats. It is an ‘enterprise-class’ management application providing administration and configuration of policy enforcement allowing an administrator or authorised user to simply and quickly manage their communication borders.
ThreatCENSOR is a low maintenance, always on, failsafe solution to virus and exploit vulnerabilities, providing protection to both inbound and outbound traffic and preventing threats and exploits from entering or leaving the system borders.
Accessed through a state of the art user interface the policy enforcement engine is the heart of ThreatCENSOR. It determines which policies to apply, processes data based on those rules, and interfaces with GlassWALL to ensure data doesn't present any threat to the user.
With the growing acceptance and deployment of policy enforcement, active content attacks are becoming easier to mitigate and attackers are now exploiting vulnerabilities in passive data types using techniques such as buffer overflows.
These attacks are more complex, usually highly targeted and provide a much greater risk. Successful exploitation of these types of attacks would usually allow a remote attacker to compromise a device.
A combination of ThreatCENSOR and GlassWALL provides a completely manageable security solution that can be implemented in any device in the communication stream to protect against these attacks.
